We were excited to eat here and we were NOT disappointed! We love Indian food and this is absolutely an elevated culinary experience with amazing service. Sunny, one of the owners, served us and he was a delight. We had people describe the food to us when they brought it out and a back waiter who kept our table clean and our food boxed up to take home. We loved wvesuthing we had. Don’t let the fact it’s in a strip mall fool you…the inside is so pretty and the food amazing. Also, Sunny was so warm and genuine. We will be back.

Pricey but Good Jalwa is an elegant, upscale restaurant with an inviting ambiance, relatively high prices and excellent food. I spent $50 for lunch, but had plenty left over for another complete meal and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's not a place I would visit every day, but will definitely be back from time to time to treat myself to some fine dining. I am a big fan of any form of Lamb Curry. Today I had the Chef's Special - and it was truly 'special'. Curry flavors vary greatly, and the curry at Jalwa is simply delicious. It had just enough spicy heat to make it interesting. The Rice was some of the longest grained rice I have ever seen - perfect. I also enjoyed the slightly undercooked Vegetables. Round things out with a large portion of Garlic Naan and an ice cold Maharaja Beer and you have yourself a feast.

Went here for our anniversary and the staff pulled out all the stops. Started with an impeccable cocktail and perhaps the best appetizer we've ever had. Don't skip the baklava. Two perfect mains and a light desert to end the evening. Couldn't ask for better service or a better meal. The decor was elegant. The atmosphere quiet and sophisticated without being pretentious. Even the to-go bag was fancy.

This is a fine dining India cuisine restaurant. It has a different style of dishes in terms of taste and presentation. You will have a good explanation of menu item so that you can understand what you will get. The dishes that you would normally eat will taste different in a good way which will give you a new perspective. The presentation of food/drinks are very well decorated and of photo shoot worthy. The dining here is an experience. The cost is on higher side i.e roughly $100 per person but worth it.

Im a very tough critic and could not find a single flaw in our experience last night. Every dish, and we and 4 apps and 6 mains, were excellent. Great flavors, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive. They truly seem to care about your experience. Bread was all good too. I travel to india for work and often entertain clients there at fancy restaurants. Jalwa put them all to shame. We are lucky to have them in Raleigh. Can't wait to return.
